ROLLTECH G21-55 FLEXY is a two-head roller coater with one direct application unit and one direct or reverse application unit.
Flexi Roll technology is Giardina Group ‘s answer to the needs of the international market in terms of cost reduction and harmful emissions into the atmosphere.
The Flexi Roll technology has been designed, developed and tested during an approx. 4 year process and consists of a new and revolutionary interpretation of the roller application technology. Until now, roller coating technology has been devoted and still concentrates exclusively on flat panel surfaces, leaving the area of 3D surfaces to the spray technology.
Interpreting the need to reduce both direct and indirect production costs and reduce emissions deriving from the spray technology, Giardina Group has created the Flexi Roll coating machine (available in various configurations) which allows customers to achieve very good results in the treatment of flat and 3D surfaces (interior doors, kitchen doors, furniture and building panels and in general all those supports that need to be painted.
The intent of the Giardina Group was not only to develop a new machine, but to also develop a new production process that integrates the new Flexi Roll with our wide range of roller coaters and the drying technology in which the Giardina Group has been successfully manufacturing and selling worldwide for over 5 decades.
The main features that make the Flexi Roll an exclusive and unique machine are: large dimensions of the applicator roller (400 mm) and of the dosing roller (260 mm.); the possibility of tilting the entire applicator group with respect to the running axis of the panel; availability of various technologies of applicator rollers suitable to meet the multiple needs in terms of both the type of support to be painted and the coating product.
The large diameter of the applicator roller has the following advantages: greater contact surface between the applicator roller and the support to be painted, therefore greater coverage of the support; reduction of accumulations on the edges of the substrate to be painted; reduction of the mechanical stress of the applicator roller; ability to work with greater pressure on the support to be painted thanks to the high solidity of the machine.
The possibility of tilting the entire applicator group with respect to the axis of advancement of the panel allows for the following advantages: reduction of the mechanical stress of the applicator roller; reduction of accumulations on the edges of the substrate to be painted; achieve optimal coverage on all 3D surfaces.
The availability of various applicator roller technologies suitable to meet the multiple needs in terms of the type of substrate to be painted and of the coating product allows to the following results: achieve optimal coverage on all 3D surfaces; controlling the amount of paint applied according to the substrate and type of paint.
