Giardina Group: a month of trade fairs, markets and new projects
From Düsseldorf to Istanbul, via Brescia: three events in just a few days to engage with different markets and industry sectors. An intense month comes to an end for Giardina Group, marked by positive feedback and new development opportunities.
An exceptionally busy October is coming to an end for Giardina Group, which took part in three events within just a few days, each differing in terms of audience, market and geographical area, but all sharing one key element: direct dialogue with customers, operators and industry professionals.
From glass to wood, via the window and door industry, the Group took part in glasstec Düsseldorf, BeOpen Brescia and WoodTech Istanbul, bringing its technologies into very different contexts and receiving positive feedback on the solutions presented.
FROM DÜSSELDORF TO ISTANBUL, VIA BRESCIA
From 20 to 23 October, Giardina Group was at glasstec Düsseldorf with the Giardina Group Glass Division, together with Marval and Deka Makine. The event represented another important step in the growth path undertaken by the Group in the flat glass and insulating glass sectors.
In Düsseldorf, the spotlight was also on the “Rolltech G02-05 GL”, a roller coater developed for the application of ceramic, organic and UV products on flat glass, and on Marval’s “Robo Seal”, an automatic robotic sealing machine designed for insulating glass production.
Above all, the German event provided an important opportunity to present the work developed by the Glass Division to an international audience, to further develop numerous contacts and to begin technical and commercial discussions on projects and potential applications.
During the same period, on 22 October, Giardina Group also took part in BeOpen Brescia, the event organised by Consorzio LegnoLegno and dedicated to the world of windows and doors, construction and architecture. The event gave the Group the opportunity to meet window and door manufacturers and industry professionals directly, together with CML Finishing and Marval, placing complementary technologies and expertise in finishing and insulating glass at the centre of the discussion.
Finally, from 22 to 25 October, the Group took part in WoodTech Istanbul together with Fabromak, Giardina Group’s long-standing commercial reference on the Turkish market. Here too, the value of the event went beyond the exhibition itself: Istanbul represents a privileged observation point over a particularly broad geographical area, connecting the European market with the Middle East, Africa and several Asian markets.
THE DIRECTION OF THE MARKET
“Having the opportunity to take part in such different events within just a few days was certainly demanding, but it also gave us a very interesting overview of the market”, commented Stefano Tibè, Sales Director of Giardina Group. “We met companies with very different sizes, production requirements and geographical backgrounds, and this kind of exchange is essential to understand how demand is evolving and where new opportunities are emerging”.
The feedback received in Düsseldorf was particularly significant, giving the Group the opportunity to present its development path in the glass sector to an international audience.
“Glasstec was an important event for us because we wanted to show in concrete terms what Giardina Group is building through the Glass Division. The feedback was very positive: we established new contacts, met customers and operators we already knew and, above all, had the opportunity to discuss several projects in considerable depth. In a number of cases, the conversation went beyond an initial presentation of the technologies and moved into specific configurations, applications and production requirements. This is an encouraging sign, because it means that the market is recognising the credibility of the path we have undertaken and sees real application potential in our solutions”.
A different, but equally significant, picture emerged in Istanbul.
“WoodTech continues to be an extremely interesting observation point for us. Turkey is first and foremost an important market in terms of size and manufacturing capacity, but it is also a connection point with much broader areas. Talking to customers and operators in Istanbul means gaining an insight not only into what is happening in the Turkish market, but also into the dynamics affecting parts of Europe, the Middle East, Africa and several Eastern markets. From this point of view, the event provides us each time with a kind of benchmark for the health of very different geographical areas. And being able to meet customers directly, listen to their needs and understand what investments they are considering remains an irreplaceable part of our work”.
TECHNOLOGY DRIVEN BY REAL NEEDS
Three events that offered different perspectives, but which confirm a common direction in Giardina Group’s development: continuing to invest in innovation while maintaining a close relationship with those who use the Group’s technologies every day.
“Such a packed calendar allowed us to engage, almost simultaneously, with some of the most important markets for the Group’s current and future development, directly assessing requirements, trends and new directions among operators”, emphasised Stefano Mauri, co-owner of Giardina Group together with his brother Riccardo Mauri. “Taking part in events of this level certainly means presenting what we have developed, but for us it primarily means continuing to listen to the market. Innovation remains one of the central pillars of our work, but it cannot be an end in itself. A new technology has value when it responds to a real need, improves a process, or makes production more flexible, more controllable or more efficient”.
“This is exactly why direct dialogue with customers and operators is so important. Being present, within just a few days, in the glass, window and door, and woodworking sectors allowed us to gather very different insights and, at the same time, to confirm the validity of the path we are following. Giardina Group will continue to invest in the development of reliable and technologically advanced solutions, but above all in technologies capable of adapting to the real needs of companies. This is the direction in which we intend to continue working”.
With the conclusion of WoodTech Istanbul, an exceptionally intense month comes to an end for Giardina Group. An October made up of thousands of kilometres, meetings and different markets, but above all of broad and valuable dialogue that provides new input for the Group’s continued technological and commercial development.
