Destefani „MVT 11000 ECD“: sanding line for panels

The DESTEFANI „MVT 11000 ECD“ is a sanding and finishing line developed for processing panels with plywood edges intended for the furniture sector, with a particular focus on applications for the railway industry.

The line integrates several processing stages into a single continuous process. A pair of milling units with high-frequency motors and copying systems creates 45° chamfers along the longitudinal sides of the panel, working on both the upper and lower perimeter.

Two tracking units then complete the machining of the vertical sections, allowing a complete chamfering of the panel, for a total of twelve chamfers. The next stage is dedicated to sanding the straight edge, using two sanding-belt units and a pair of brushes with sanding discs, designed to make the surface uniform and improve the final quality.

To complete the process, a transparent protective oil is applied by roller to enhance the appearance and grain of the plywood. The oil is then cured using UV lamps, while two additional brushes operate in the final stage to further improve the surface quality.
