A new DeStefani „MVT 5000“ enhances production quality at Trazos Deco (Spain)

Giardina Group delivers a high-end DeStefani „MVT 5000“ sander to Trazos Deco (Alginet, Valencia), thanks to the mediation of Hurtado Maquinaria.

We spoke with José Antonio Sánchez, manager of this second-generation carpentry company, who explained what this acquisition means:
We are not just a traditional carpentry shop. We also work for other carpenters, providing them with our technology to supply machined components ready for assembly, as well as for contracting companies.
One of our business lines is specialized decoration, which requires us to have high-level production technology, within our possibilities.
One of our bottlenecks was the preparation of panel and wood edges before varnishing, which made it necessary to replace our old machine to avoid many hours of manual work due to its lack of reliability.
We turned to Giardina Group, and now we have this industrial solution that allows us to machine and sand edges with flexibility and industrial rhythm, while maintaining the quality and precision required by our most demanding customers”.

This new generation of edge sanders, equipped with spindle moulders and profiling units, combines long-travel pads with finishing wheels, allowing subcontracting companies to adapt to every need, with ease of adjustment, production speed and working precision”, explains Paco Fernández, Giardina Group’s representative in Spain.

For Trazos Deco, this means a significant step forward in terms of quality and production capacity, enabling the company to take on new challenges: “It’s a ‘heavy-duty’ machine, with on-site control of each group (not just via screen), allowing adjustments to be made while observing how each part works in each group. It also features programmable settings for repeat jobs with pre-set adjustments… in short, it makes the operator’s job much easier”, says Alessio De Stefani, who attended the installation to supervise the setup. “Ultimately, it’s a high-end machine for a company that delivers quality work, with flexible adjustment capabilities to quickly adapt to each order with precision. A machine built to last a lifetime”, concludes Paco Fernández.

This is also a great opportunity to introduce this model to the Spanish market. A shorter version was presented at Ligna, featuring a heavy frame, independently adjustable groups (both via screen and directly on the unit while working), a feed chain, and a staggered pressure roller bar allowing work on narrow pieces.
